I am sometimes amazed at some of the situations and circumstances "we brothers in Arms" find ourselves. And you are no exception and I'm delighted at hearing some of your exploits throughout our careers and to know that soliders like you were in many of the high spots throughout the years of our youths, in Viet Nam, NYC Police Agencies and Sing Sing et.al. How the hell did you come through the tunnels of life even to end up in a NYC cab facing the death of yet another "solider" in this army of men we call life. Great site, Joe....you and I obviously thought along the same lines. After retiring from my own PD in Georgia, my wife and I moved home to Louisiana. My son made me a website and put a lot of pictures of Vietnam on it. Mike Speights said he shared some of my photos with you. That's fine with me, and I have many more! When you're not too busy, email me down here in the swamp...

Hello Joe, you met me at my command psa4 on 1/7/07-Sunday. We spoke of your book "A TALE OF POLICE OMERTA". You also spoke with one of my LT'S aswell. Joe, my father Mariano Delpilar Sr. served with the 65th Inf. Regiment 3rd Div. Co.B(Feb.1952 to Mar.1953) in Korea. IT WAS VERY EMOTIONAL FOR ME. DURING THE VIETNAM WAR, I WAS A LITTLE GIRL AND DIDN'T FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS GOING ON. THIS HELPED ME UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE WAS SO UPSET WITH THE WHOLE WAR ISSUE. JOE, YOU DID A GREAT JOB PUTTING ALL THE INFO. TOGETHER PICTURES AND ALL.

MY UNCLE JESUS GOMEZ JR. DIED IN VIET NAM HE WAS 18 YEARS OLD. MY UNCLE MIGUEL SERRA ALSO SERVED IN THE VIET NAM AND LIVED TO TELL US ALL THE STORIES BUT JUST PASSED AWAY LAST MONTH. WE MISS YOU UNCLE MIKE.
